These are the questions we hear most from Richmond Hill trade owners. The short answers are above; this section adds context on the ones that need it.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $1,999 a month month to month, or $1,499 a month on annual billing, plus 13% HST. Ad spend and translation fees are extra and are paid directly to Google and to the translator.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. Every plan renews monthly and 30 days' notice ends it. Choosing annual billing is up to you, and it only changes the monthly rate.
How soon will I get more calls?
Google Ads can bring calls within the first week or two. Local SEO and reviews usually take three to six months to show steady gains, depending on your starting point and your competitors.
We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
Ask what went wrong first: no tracking, no written plan, or accounts held by the agency are the usual causes. We put the plan and costs in writing, keep accounts in your name, and report booked jobs, so you can judge us on the same numbers you'd judge a new hire.
Who owns my website, Google Business Profile and ad accounts?
You do. We work inside accounts registered to your business, and if you leave, everything stays with you.
Can you promise results?
No. Nobody controls Google's rankings or your competitors. We commit to a written plan, steady work and honest reporting, and we stop anything that doesn't pay.
What do your monthly reports show?
Calls, texts and emails by source, cost per lead against your agreed ceiling, booked jobs you confirm, reviews earned and what we'll change next month. Multilingual campaigns are reported separately.
Can you market my business in languages other than English?
Yes, through our multilingual campaigns service. We plan the campaign and write the English source, and qualified professional translators adapt the copy. We don't claim in-house language skills.
How do I choose which language to advertise in?
Use your own customer records, not assumptions about a neighbourhood. If a language shows up often among your best customers and someone on your team can answer calls in it, test that one first.
Are you a contractor or a lead-selling service?
Neither. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we don't resell your leads to other trades. We market and advise your business only.
Do you work outside Richmond Hill?
Yes, where you genuinely serve customers, often Markham, Vaughan, Aurora, King or Whitchurch-Stouffville. We'll only target areas you can serve well.
Can you help with TSSA or ESA requirements?
No. Those are regulatory matters. We can link to the Ontario bodies that oversee your trade, but compliance questions go to them or to your own advisers.
Why are your case studies all HVAC?
Because that's where the group's published portfolio is. We present them as results from our HVAC work, as proof of the method, not as results for your trade.
Cost and contracts
Plans start at $1,999 a month month to month, or $1,499 a month billed annually. Prices are in Canadian dollars plus 13% HST, and there's no long-term contract. You can cancel with 30 days' notice. The full table, plus a worked example of a total monthly budget, is on our pricing page.
The two costs owners forget are ad spend and translation. Both go directly to whoever provides them, Google or the translator, so you always see exactly what you're paying for.
"We tried an agency before"
Owners in Richmond Hill raise this more than any other worry, and they're right to. When an agency relationship fails, the cause is usually one of these:
- No agreed measure of success. If nobody wrote down what a lead should cost, nobody could say whether it was working.
- Accounts held by the agency. When the relationship ended, the owner lost their ad history or even their Business Profile.
- Reports full of clicks. Traffic went up, the phone didn't ring, and the report never mentioned booked jobs.
- Translated copy no one checked. In a multilingual market, a careless translation can quietly put off the customers it was meant to reach.
We address each of these in writing before we start. If you've been burned, bring your old reports to the first call and we'll tell you honestly what we see.
Translation and multilingual work
We don't claim to speak your customers' languages. We plan the campaign, write the English source and a glossary of your service terms, and recommend a qualified professional translator. In Ontario, a good starting point is a translator certified through ATIO, the provincial association for translators and interpreters.
The rule we apply: don't advertise in a language your business can't answer in. Details are on the multilingual campaigns page.
Regulation and what we won't advise on
Ontario trades work under bodies such as the Technical Standards and Safety Authority for fuels and the Electrical Safety Authority for electrical work. We can make sure your marketing doesn't misstate your registrations, but we don't give compliance advice. For a fuller list of official Ontario links, see Ontario.Center.
Timelines, honestly
Most owners want to know when the phone will ring more. Here's a realistic pattern for a Richmond Hill trade starting from an average position:
| Timeframe | What usually happens |
|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | Tracking set up, Business Profile fixed, ads launched if you chose them |
| Month 1 | First ad leads; early read on cost per lead |
| Months 2–3 | Ads tuned; review count starts climbing; first community pages live |
| Months 4–6 | Map visibility improves in the communities you chose |
| Month 6+ | Organic calls carry more of the load; ad budget can shift to what works |
A multilingual campaign adds about three to four weeks at the start for translation and checking.
Ownership and leaving
Everything we build sits in accounts registered to your business: website, hosting, Google Business Profile, Google Ads, analytics and call tracking. If you decide to leave, you give 30 days' notice and keep all of it. We'll hand over logins and a short note on what's running, so whoever comes next isn't starting blind. That's how we'd want to be treated, and it's the clearest test of any agency you're considering.
Reporting you can read in five minutes
Each monthly report fits on a page or two. It shows leads by source and by language where relevant, what each lead cost, which jobs you told us were booked, new reviews, and the two or three changes planned for next month. If a number moved the wrong way, the report says so and explains why.
What happens next
If your question isn't answered here, read about us or go straight to contact to call, text or email. We're a marketing and consulting service, not a contractor.
